Well, these are interesting times. Who would have ever thought we’d be living through a global pandemic? Not me! That was always the kind of thing that happened someplace else. Or a very long time ago or possibly way off in the future. But, here we are.
The other day, I happened to notice that another “100 Day Project” was beginning on Instagram. I happened to notice on Day 1/100. I’ve always wanted to participate in this. To be honest, I’ve started the challenge several times, only to flame out early on because I couldn’t stay motivated. I’d always picked visual-based projects and I’m just no good at drawing or making 100 pictures of trees interesting (I’m not joking – I have an Insta friend who usually posts 100 tree photos and they are AWESOME). This year I finally figured it out. I will write 100, 100-word stories.
Today was Day 10/100. Some of my stories are better than others – I’m sure I won’t have 100 winners on my hands when I’m done. But I think there will be some really good ones.
You can follow along on Instagram here, I’d love to see you! If you’re not on Insta, don’t worry. When I’m done, I’m planning to collect them all, and publish them in a book or zine.
Take good care out there, be safe, and take deep breaths. And tell stories.
